About

The Regatta

Welcome to the Hurley Regatta – I’m honoured to be leading the team organising our golden jubilee regatta, and after a four year break we are looking forward to seeing old friends and new on the water.

The Hurley Regatta is as unique as the village itself, and focuses on friendly rivalry and fun and really lives up to our catch phrase of “messing about in boats since 1973”

The regatta is for people who love Hurley and love our stretch of the Thames – and there is a race for everyone. This year we have introduced paddleboard and katakanu events as well as the ever popular canoe, cobra, dinghy, skiff, raft and bathtub races. All boats are provided for the races.

Back again this year by popular demand are some great land based activities for all the family to take part in. These include Pelham's fairground rides, bale rolling races, vehicle pull, egg throwing and dizzy sticks.

There will be music throughout the day by Ashley Benjamin and in the evening the fun moves to the The Rising Sun where a DJ will be playing for the evening.

We regret to inform you all that dogs will not be allowed on site this year. Please see our statment here explaining why.

We are proud to have given over £100,000 to local charities in the last 50 years – come and join us on the day as a participant or spectator and help us to support this year’s chosen charity Building for the Future
