The 2024 Hurley Regatta

Races

Registration for the 2024 regatta is now open! Please book your races as early as possible as this allows us to put together the best race schedule for the day and make sure everyone gets the best out of the regatta. Registration will close a week before the regatta to allow us to build the race schedule which will be shared on the day inside the Regatta programme. Don't worry if you decide to enter at the last moment, there will be opportunities to sign up for races on the day as well if there are spaces available.

Please make sure you have read the race rules and entry requirements before entering any races. Please note that buoyancy aids must be worn by all participants in some races and by all children entering races.

Remember, even if you dont't want to participate, spectator tickets will still be available for purchase until the day of the regatta.

Spectator tickets are available in advance and also on the day. Please note that there is a no dogs policy this year at the regatta. You can read the policy HERE.

About

The Regatta

Welcome to the 49th Hurley Regatta. We’ve got a few additions and changes to last year’s incredibly successful regatta and we are looking forward to welcoming even more competitors and spectators in 2024.

The Hurley Regatta is as unique as the village itself, and focuses on friendly rivalry and fun and really lives up to our catchphrase of “messing about in boats since 1973”

The regatta is for people who love Hurley and love our stretch of the Thames – and there is a race for everyone. Last year we introduced paddleboard and katakanu events as well as the ever-popular canoe, cobra, raft and bathtub races. Great fun was had with our inflatable battles on paddlboards and some great new arena games. This year, back by popular demand will be our dragon boats – we provide the helm, you just need to find a crew of 16 paddlers!

All boats are provided for the races.

There will be even more great land-based activities for all the family to take part in, including fairground rides, the ever-popular Lion’s train, bale rolling races, vehicle pull and egg throwing.

There will be music throughout the day and in the evening the après race fun will move to The Rising Sun where Clint Fisher will be playing live music till late.

Unfortunately, dogs are no longer allowed on the regatta field which is part of a working farm. Please see our statement here explaining why.

We are proud to have given nearly £110,000 to local charities in the last 50 years – come and join us on the day as a participant or spectator and help us to support this year’s chosen charities.
